RI read that movie review, too but no it does not endorse the Republican agenda because:Bruce Wayne gives Morgan Freeman's character the oversight to destroy the spying device much like the courts ability to deny warrants, etc.Batman stops Harvey Dent from torturing one of the Joker's henchman in the Alley.Batman never purposely kills - the one rule.There's probably more but I haven't seen the movie in a couple of months.

RWell, I can't know for sure, because the movie has not come out yet. But judging from the most recent trailer and the choice to have Bane as the villian, I'm going to guess it's going to be about moral ambiguity and the question of what does justice really mean.I know Batmin Begins kind of touched on those themes, but predict that they will be a little bit more complex in this film because Bane is such a complex character. I'm not sure if you are familiar with the history of Bane, but the character of Bane first appeared in the 90s after many of the civil wars fought against leftist guerrillas in Central America and South America that the U.S. was involved in were dying down, and many of the human rights abuses involved were beginning to surface. I don't want to go off on a tangent about Bane's history, so here's the wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bane_(comics).Bane is a rebel with a cause and an "underdog" of society. He can probably sympathize with many of the petty criminals that Batman puts away, many of whom were probably desperate or products of their environment. He hates Batman's notions of "moral righteousness" and probably hates Bruce Wayne even more for being an "elitist" who couldn't possibly understand (Bane is very intelligent and figures out his identity). Basically, Bane is the opposite of the Joker in that he does have a purpose and we do understand him. That is why he is dangerous; he really challenges a lot of Batman's preconceived notions of what is right and wrongI think that's probably what he means by being Gotham's Reckoning and that Bruce Wayne's "punishment must be severe". At what one point in the trailer, Selena Kyle tells Batman "You've given these people everything already" and Batman says "No, not everything." I think that's supposed to Bruce's own self-reckonining and assessment of what is his purpose is, what is it that he is really trying to do. And from there he "Rises". Or it could just be a cool title. Now, don't get me wrong. This is all speculation. I haven't read this script, but from the moment I found out Bane was the villian I figured the themes would be something like that.

RThis is my theory.When the monorail exploded at the bottom of Wayne Tower (in Batman Begins), it would have caused significant damage. Wayne probably used it as an excuse to renovate it. This can also tell how Fox gets a private elevator in his office.

RYes and no. You could literally feel that their dynamic cat and mouse would be the raw (and probably ONLY) focus in the last movie but I think that it tied in well with the comics that it was just sort of a slap on the wrist and take em to jail sorta thing because that always happened. The only thing we didn't get was the Joker escaping again

RActually, several people do believe Batman is Bruce Wayne, but they don't have any proofCommissioner Gordon pretty much knows, but he doesn't acknowledge it, since it could lead to legal trouble.Vicki Vale, a Gotham reporter who dated Wayne, put the pieces together on who Batman and the rest of his team are.Recently, Wayne revealed he was the secret benefactor of Batman and his allies, meaning he was the one that gave them their gadgets and equipment. Former Robin Dick Grayson acted as the new Batman when Wayne made the announcement, so the public now believed Batman and Bruce Wayne can't be the same.

RWell, in Batman Begins he's in college when he drops everything to go live out in the world; figure he leaves at age 19. He's gone seven years; so he's 26 when he returns to Gotham.The Dark Knight takes place two years later (I believe). That puts Bruce Wayne at around 28.The Dark Knight Rises picks up eight years later, which would put him around 36. However, the gray streaks in his hair would indicate that he's more early- to mid-40s ('m 40 and am only just now starting to see tiny bits of gray).So there seem to be a few years missing from the time frame.
