RNO WAY. And i totally agree that he's really low and somewhat comedic voice is perfect for playing Snape.

RNot sure about Tim Roth but D'Onofrio is just acting for that specific role. He's also on Men in Black. He plays the farmer the alien kills and uses the skin of. He's not twitchy in that role...until he becomes the alien.

ROh my, I love Tim Roth. My favorite would be either Reservoir Dogs, or Pulp Fiction. I also loved his debut, Made in Britain. My least favorite is Planet of the apes, though he still managed to give a terrific performance (he`s the best thing about the film, no doubt).Edit: I also would like to add that the 60 seconds he appeared on The Million Dollar Hotel made the whole film for me.

RActually, if you google "famous movie villains" the first link is one to the 50 best movie villains of all time. Most of them aren't English. I take issue with Jason Isaacs and The Patriot, what since it was a movie about the American Revolution from the perspective of a colonist. So it would have been kind of dumb to have made the villain in that movie anything other then British.But I think it has to do with the voice. The British accents lend a lot of depth to it. It is hard to imagine Larry the Cable Guy as being a villain with his accent!

RThe show is based on the work of a psychologist named Paul Eckmann. I'm not positive, but I think that's also what Dr. Lightman is, although he could be a cultural anthropologist.
