(Anglicans) Even Benjamin Franklin, who is oft quoted as a deist, and certainly held some deist beliefs, was raised an Episcopalian, and attended church at the Friends Meeting House (Quakers, with their silent services) in Philadelphia weekly, throughout his life. (because they complained he went there to catch up on his sleep) Thomas Jefferson published his favorite parts of the bible, which emphasized his deist philosophy... but were still Christian in origin. The founding fathers were just not as cut and dry as most people like to make them. Perhaps Thomas Paine was, because he was an idealistic Deist. But, the rest were about as non-religious as John Lennon was a Socialist. John Lennon affiliated with Socialists in New York, and got artistic inspiration from their movement, but he still complained about high taxes, and when it came down to it, he wasn't a Socialist. Not everybody is a Philosopher, and the founding fathers were no different. Even the philosophically minded ones (like Franklin) were eclectic. (his favorite book was the Christian epic, A Pilgrim's Progress) He'd of fought for the rights of Deists to not believe, but he still had some sort of belief himself.The founding fathers, in large part, saved Christianity by asserting that it should keep it's fingers out of government. Government has a corrupting nature on religion. Look at the Vatican, the Holy Roman Empire, Henry VIII's religious "reforms," the Council of Worms, the 30 years War, etc, etc, etc... Government corrupts religion. Governments should be secular. Religious institutions should be non-governmental, and free from government influence.

RDavid Christopher- It's classic combination. There are noble and timeless name. David means "beloved" and Christopher means "one who carries Christ". So, this meanings looking good together.Alexander Scott- I love name Alexander. It's great, powerful and royal. I like nicknames Alex, Lex and Ali. Name Scott is ok. personally I like it, because my grandfather is Scotchman. So, I've got sentiment for this name.Jonathan Daniel- I like name Jonathan, because I like name John, because I'm English and I love John Lennon :). Jonathan is also classic and nice name. Longer, than John, so it's more interesting name. I like nicknames Johnny and Jack. Their are simple but energy. Daniel is strong name. Biblical but modern. My good friend is Daniel.

RDreamers like to think about utopia. That's all. The original "Utopia", a novel by Saint Thomas More, was about a socialist world. Lennon simply made it easy to understand his image of a utopia. The problem is, utopias never work even when tried in real life. When the Pilgrims landed at Plymouth Rock, they were given strict instructions by their wealthy benefactor in England to live in a totally socialist economy.
