What are you favorite Christian fiction books/authors?
Books & Authors at 30 March 2012 06:03:44
QTwo of my favorite authors are Francine Rivers and Liz Curtis Higgs. I would like to find more authors who have similar writing styles. Thanks! I love historical christian fiction especially, so any recommendations for that genre would be highly appreciated.
ROkay so it's not historical christian fiction but here are some good ones to read. The author is Robin Jones Gunn it's a series so it'll keep you occupied for a long time, it's called (The Christy Miller Series, and then there's two more knock off series about her in colleg and one about her best friend, from her point of view) It's a good romance set for a teen!

What is the quickest a grand slam has been hit in a baseball game?
Baseball at 01 September 2011 05:09:55
Qto start off a game, what is the least amount of pitches it has taken for a team to get a grand slam? I would think it would be interesting for a team to get a grand slam after four pitches!
RThis won't be comprehensive, but let's pick one out.I searched for grand slams since 1990, that happened in the first inning by the #4 batter, and came on the first pitch. So we'll see how many pitches the first three batters took, and add one for the slam. It certainly is possible there were other fourth-batter slams where all four batters combined needed fewer pitches, but that would require researching another 32 such games, and I'm not that interested. So, eight slams, fourth batter, first pitch, since 1990:1. Robin Ventura, 28-July-1993 (Ventura? no surprise) -- pitches: Raines 5, Cora 7, Thomas 2, plus one, 15 pitches.2. Cecil Fielder, 22-May-1995 -- Curtis 6, Fletcher 5, Stubbs 4, +1 == 16.3. Mark McGwire, 26-June-1997 -- McDonald 6, Bournigal 7, Berroa 5, +1 == 19 pitches. But we're supposed to Despise icky Mark McGwire now, so we'll add 1,000,000 pitches to be mean to him, so 1,000,019 pitches.4. Albert Belle, 14-June-2000 -- Amaral 6, Bordick 3, Surhoff 4, +1 == 14 pitches.5. Phil Nevin, 06-October-2001 -- Rickey! 1, Jimenez 6, Klesko 4, +1 == 12 pitches.6. Carlos Delgado, 28-September-2003 -- Johnson 8, Bordick (again) 4, Wells 7, +1 == 20 pitches. Three days earlier, Delgado hit four homers, and this was the last game of the season, so he finished on some high notes in '03.7. Jason Bay, 18-May-2006 -- Bautista 6, Wilson 3, Sanchez 2, +1 == 12 pitches.8. Brandon Phillips, 13-July-2007 -- Freel 3, Hopper 2, Griffey 7, +1 == 13 pitches.I say we give it to Nevin and Bay, both of them emptying the bases and clogging the scoreboard on the 12th pitch.

The adventures of poor, ambitious Tully Hart and middle-class romantic Kate Mularkey begin in the 1970s. In return for rescuing Dylan’s bag, Josh convinces Dylan to let him film her for his documentary on high school popularity. Reluctantly, Dylan lets F-list Josh into her A-list world, and is shocked to realize that sometimes nerds can be pretty cool. But when Dylan’s so-called prince charming of a boyfriend dumps her flat, her life—and her social status— comes to a crashing halt. Can Dylan—with Josh’s help—pull the pieces together to create her own happily-ever-after?Blood & Chocolate by Annette Curtis- Vivian is a teenage werewolf. What are some books that are similar to the romance in the Twilight series?
Books & Authors at 16 November 2008 03:11:57
QI love the Twilight books. But I have been looking for books that are like Twilight but I just keep getting told to read stories about vampires. I could really care less if the story was about vampires. I am looking for a book with the romance of Bella and Edward. Have any suggestions?
RTry these:. William Shakespeare is good for romance, but he has written many comedies and tragedies too. Any books by Jane Austen are guaranteed to have romance in them. Any books by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes are amazing! There is In The Forest of The Night, Demon In My View, Shattered Mirror, Midnight Predator. I'm a teen girl, but don't suggest stuff like the Clique or Gossip Girl or any of those books, please. I don't have anything against them, but I just don't think I'd like them. Thanks! :)
