He has worked with Northrop Grumman Newport News in support of their product lifecycle management (PLM)/CATIA implementation for the CVN-21 program. In addition, Rob supported General Dynamics Bath Iron Works and Northrop Grumman Ship Systems in their PLM/CATIA implementation for the DDG-1000 program.

    Prior to joining DS, Rob was the Director of Modeling and Simulation for John J. McMullen Associates (now Alion Science and Technology Corp.). Previously, he worked for IBM in Federal Marketing. He also served as a naval architect in ship concept and preliminary design for the U.S. Navy.

    Early stage and preliminary design of naval ships including what are today known as the DDG-51 class Guided Missile Destroyer, LHD-1 Amphibous Assault Ship, LCAC - Air Cushion Landing Craft, SWATH-TAGOS Small Waterplane Area Surveillance Ship, Also was the lead naval architect in the design of the AOE-6 Fast Supply Ship.
