RYes, he is one of the greats. For whatever reason he was talked into some "B" type movies during his career, but he made some great ones as well. Course he's 89 now; so I don't know that he's making personal appearances. I'd think you could do some searching and find a fan club contact and go from there. Good luck!

RThere's no "best". Not at all. But there are many classics within the genre.See the great movie HORROR OF DRACULA (1958) starring Christopher Lee - it's one of the best all-around horror movies ever made. And then see the film that started the whole "True Blood" Southern Gothic thing: NEAR DARK. Also, trying looking up the BBC version of DRACULA starring Louis Jourdan, a very accurate adaptation of the Bram Stoker novel (far closer to the real book than Francis Ford Coppola's movie with Anthony Hopkins).A strikingly atmospheric (and beautiful) vampire film is the French pic, Blood and Roses (1960) by Roger Vadim.Vampirism is explained as a kind of virus in David Cronenberg's Rabid (1976). And then there's the excellent & verrrrrry creepy Shadow of the Vampire (2000) with William Defoe as the monster.Stephen King's Salem's Lot (1979) directed by Tobe Hooper (who did the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre). Has some genuine jolts & is very atmospheric. Make sure it's the 1979 version - not the piece-of-junk TV remake of 2004!And last but definitely not least: the 2008 Swedish movie, Let The Right One In -- the only vampire film to come out in the last decade that was acclaimed by many film critics around the world as an instant classic in the genre. It broke new ground and was as horrific & scary as one could ask for. (it was so good that an American studio immediately bought the rights and remade the movie this past year! But there's no way it could top the original). See this one for sure.

RTo understand the relevance of the storming of the Bastille, first you must have some background knowledge as to what was occurring in France at that time. In 1774 Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette assumed their roles as the chief monarchs of the country. Marie was nicknamed "Madame Deficit" by the citizens because her lavish spending on jewelry (The Diamond Necklace Affair), gold, etc. caused France to enter an economic depression. The average citizen(lower class made up around 98% of the population, the other 2% comprised of nobility and royalty) consumed approx. 2 pounds of bread per day; due to this, bread riots and the stockpiling of flour became increasingly popular and eventually declared illegal. The monarchs are the main reason behind the storming of the Bastille, though not the only one(I'm not going to elaborate on the others--you get the idea). Tired of the lack of food and seeing the demise of their country, the citizens of Paris took it upon themselves to fix things. On 14 July 1789 the storming of the Bastille occurred. Though the main purpose of the Bastille was to serve as a prison, gunpowder and other arms were being stored there as well. At the time of the storming, Bernard de Launay was the commander of the garrison stationed at the Bastille. Seizing these weapons, the citizens of Paris then dragged de Launay and his soldiers through Paris. He was supposed to be escorted to the Hotel de Ville(not the kind of Hotel you're probably thinking of, this is an administration building) by Pierre-Augustin Hulin, but he was assaulted by crowd on the way there. The angered citizens beat him, stabbed him with their bayonets, shot him, and then lynched him along with other soldiers that were at the Bastille. His head was then sawed off by Mathieu Jouve Jourdan, fixed to a pike, and paraded through the streets by the crowd. The citizens stormed the Bastille to show their anger towards King Louis, to show that they were capable of revolt. Though it is only one of many events that led up to the French Revolution, which occured from 1789-1799, it paved the way for other important events such as the women's March of Versailles, Reign of Terror, Marat's assassination, etc., to occur. One of the scenes has him in a Harlequin costume, asleep in the midst of the partygoers. On his first official evening out with Gigi, she does wear a beautiful white gown. I won't explain why she is crying because it would ruin the surprise, as that is near the ending. This musical was written for the screen by Lerner & Loewe and is most definitely a classic.

My memories of it are rather sketchy, as it isn't one of my favorites. Roger Moore running about in a clown costume is one of Bond's more embarrassing moments.
