RAuto-biographies from ex-rugby players goes all the way back to the 1960s or even earlier. This was during the very strict amateur era where the I.R.B imposed stringent rules on players ( you could not profit from the book sales -- all monies went into a trust fund ) Auto-biogs were mostly written by ex- All Black legends ( usually in collaboration with a sports writer ) in the 60s,70s, and 80s such as George Nepia ( 30 years after he retired ) Don Clarke, Colin Meads, Sid Going, Bryan Williams, Andy Haden also Welshman like Barry John and Gareth Edwards very few ex-Springboks or Wallabies players wrote books of themselves. Since rugby went pro in 1995 their have been so many, hard to recommend but try Jonah Lomu's book, it is a good read. It also depends on who your favourite players are.

RFor fiction there is a good allegory out by an indie author named Geno Allen, it is called Treasures of Darkness Treasures of Light - Through the Dark Wood. Not specifically "Christian" per se though the author is a Christian. It has spiritual allegory though like Lord of the Rings/Narnia.
