RWell, check out their website with their requirements needed to be able to get accepted into Davis.Sometimes, they require a perequisits that needs to be completed in order to get in. But sometimes, they may also base on your GPA.Why dont you talk to your counselor and let her know your problem.She can help you to get in from that university you want to transfer.At least, if you completed their required goal, then it can be so easy for you to be able to transfer with no problem.Usually, the counselors does all the work to let you transfer to the required university you want to transfer into.Best way, is talk to your counselor and check the website for their required goals to get accepted.Hope that helps:)

RUnless there is a specific cirumstance/explanation of why you didn't do so well in calc (for instance, a family problem, medical reason, etc.) I wouldn't call too much attention to the grade. At the same time if there is a spot for additional comments in the academics/grades section of the application I would briefly mention the grade. DON'T make excuses ("the teacher was really mean", "I had a lot of other work") because everyone has those situations but do acknowledge that your grade was less than you would have liked and explain that you hope they can see from the other courses that you have taken that you pushed yourself to take challenging classes in high school, even when you didn't necessarily get the highest grade. Ryes you can take online classes at another college, say online community college classes. It is true that when your a freshman they don't recommend you to take more than 13 units but you can if you want, but when I was a freshmen I took 13 units for the first quarter and a little bit more later on and it helped, it's because of the transition from high school to college style. and if you feel that you can handle more than 13 units you should take an online course and transfer the units over after one year =] hope this helps

RYou are smart enough for any College/Universities and you do community service and you're in a lot of club organizations so that will look great on your resume for college no doubt that will catch that college's attention or any college. Just as long as you study hard and apply to A LOT of colleges (even if you don't want to go to those colleges) it's good to let the school you want to go to know that you got accepted to other colleges because that makes them want you at their school. When you apply as a senior make sure you apply apply APPLY! & don't forget to brag about yourself to colleges that's what they want. Be ahead in your Senior year when you get there. Take a lot of SAT's try to do as many as you can to increase your scores even if you don't meet the requirements of scores because all they want to look at is how many times you've taken them and how effort of it you made. In your junior year make sure you visit a lot of college campuses to get a feel of what campuses you feel are comfortable to you or not look for how big of the campus you want it to be. Do you want a lot of students at that college? Or a small amount? Those should be very important to you. & Of course if it has your area of study and career. Hope this helps! :)

RYour personal statement should reflect who you are. They know your academic background, now tell them about who you are. What are the characteristics that best defines you? What are you goals, where do you want to be in 5 years. If you already have a major in mind what made you choose that major. Avoid the classic catch phrases like "I want to be a ........ because I love helping people". Always be positive. Discuss your dedication and time spent on preparing for the Academic decathlon rather than "I only have one extra curricular activity". Most importantly keep your statement clear, concise, and triple check the grammar and spelling. Have as many people as you can "grade" your statement. Write several drafts and have a teacher check it for you.
