Georgios Giannakopoulos

· Specialization as an Electronic Engineer of IT, operating military, maritime and surveillance security systems.

· Assistant for secretarial and administration support of the above mentioned Naval Station.

· Designed and developed the LAN of the Station, providing simultaneously maintenance to the relevant pc’s, laptops, and peripherals of the whole system.

· Making research for new designs, products and developments (using handmade antennas) alarm circuits using Ansoft Designer v2.1, CADSTAR version 9 (editor and viewer)

· Re-designed and repairing (fault finding) existing products, using spectrum and network analyzers of 1 GHz maximum

· Dealing with operating environmental chambers with temperatures from 50C to -10C

· Dealing with range tests, which were made in the fields. The purpose of these tests was to find out what is the maximum range of the distance when the owner can remotely activate/deactivate the alarm of his property

· Operation of an anechoic chamber, GHz Transverse Electromagnetic (GTEM) for EMC/EMI and immunity tests

· Thesis Title: “Design of a Multiband Monopole (Wrapped (3D) and Unwrapped (2D)) and Microstrip Patch Antennas for GSM and DCS frequency bands using HFSS and MAPLE software packages”

Thesis Title: "Design, development and testing of a 1.3GHz Microstrip Patch Antenna for a PAL TV signal using Ansoft Designer, MATLAB and MAPLE software packages"

Study projects included novel algorithms development for power reduction in modern digital modems. Extensive use of SIMULINK, MATLAB, VHDL, Xilinx FPGAs, and Java programming.
