RNot taking anything away from Carter's numbers but he was famous for running a route to the sidelines where he could catch the ball and step/fall out of bounds. Was that smart? probably, it helped him prolong his career but it showed fans like me that he was afraid of contact.Rice made is living with getting a dump pass 5-10 yds down field and taking it to the house. Incredible speed and a great athlete without the attitude.

RI've often wondered myself. Kind of like baseball. Their stat don't change from year to year so what makes them a HOFer today when they weren't last year? I'll never figure that out. But in some cases it's pretty clear that guys like Cris Carter belong in the hall. Why he hasn't gone in yet is a example of a pretty messed up system. I'm sure he will eventually get in and that alone is a good reason for having multiple chances of getting voted in.

RI really hate listening to Keyshawn Johnson and CHris Collinsworth is by far the worst. I agree with you on Michael Irvin. You should check out his radio show as well. You can get it in a podcast for free.

RUnfortunately, we live in a world where accomplishment is measured by what you do on the biggest stage. For example, many say Michael Phelps is the fastest swimmer of the 200 IM because of his gold medal performance in the Olympics, but Ryan Lochte has held the world record since 2009 (and broke his own record in 2011). Also, they aren't using rings for every player - just the QBs. Their logic is that the QB is supposed to be the leader of a team and they were supposedly able to lead their team to the ultimate win on the ultimate stage.However, I agree with you. Football is a team sport and in a team sport, wins only happen when the individual players work well together. You could have Tom Brady, Calvin Johnson, Adrian Peterson, DeMarcus Ware, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed and Troy Polumalu all on the same team, but if they don't work well together. the team could find themselves looking at a 2-14 season.
